Best Times to Visit Glacier National Park:

Before thinking about visiting Glacier National Park you need to think about when is the right time to visit here. July to August is the best time to visit here in the year. This is the peak season for visitors, with daytime temperatures average in the 70s and winters that can drop to the 40s. You will even see snow in June and July at high altitudes; The eastern side of the park tends to be cooler and airier than the western side. The eastern side is also arid and the western valleys receive most of the rainfall. Although stay rates and entry fees will be higher during the peak season, most facilities will remain open, and complimentary shuttle services will continue. You can experience less road and trail closures in the fall, winter, and spring months. The park is open 365 days a year.

Getting Around :

The best way to visit Glacier National Park is by car or park shuttle services. If you are driving, Highway 2 runs along the south end of the park, while Highway 89 provides access to the east side. Half an hour from the park and about 10 miles northeast of the town of Kalispell, Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) is served by Delta, United, Alaska, and Elegant Airlines, and provides rental cars for several large companies. At the airport, there is a taxi company, Glacier Taxi.
